The All Progressives Congress (APC) has responded to critics of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, insisting that his administration’s reforms are delivering meaningful results and positively impacting the country.
This position was outlined in a statement released in Sokoto by Malam Yusuf Abubakar Dingyadi, Senior Special Assistant on Media to the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda.
Dingyadi alleged that opposition figures are spreading misleading information on social media in an attempt to undermine the government’s achievements. He described such actions as politically driven and reflective of desperation, accusing some individuals of placing personal ambitions above the nation’s interest and stability.
He cautioned Nigerians against accepting unverified claims, particularly those aimed at discrediting the administration’s performance in the northern region, urging citizens to rely on credible information.
According to him, a fair evaluation of the government’s record reveals tangible improvements in critical areas such as security, infrastructure, agriculture, education, and healthcare. He noted that several policies and initiatives have been introduced to enhance the well-being of citizens and promote long-term economic development.
“The use of reckless criticism and deliberate misinformation is unacceptable at a time the country is working to overcome longstanding challenges,” he said.
Dingyadi further stated that the APC’s National Working Committee remains dedicated to backing programmes intended to boost the economy and strengthen national security.
He also pointed to ongoing projects in road construction, housing development, social welfare schemes, and agricultural growth as evidence of the administration’s commitment to national progress.
Reaffirming the party’s position, Dingyadi said the APC would continue to highlight what it sees as the government’s genuine accomplishments while pushing back against narratives it believes are intended to mislead the public.
He concluded by advising Nigerians to be wary of politically motivated misinformation and to support ongoing reforms, emphasising that constructive participation is vital for democratic development and national unity.
