A retired Director of the Department of Development Control at the Federal Capital Territory Administration, Abuja, Muktar Galadima, has obtained his nomination form to contest for the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency seat under the Peoples Democratic Party.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Galadima picked up both his nomination and expression of interest forms at the party’s secretariat in Jalingo on Wednesday.

Addressing journalists in Jalingo, Galadima expressed strong confidence in his ability to represent his constituents effectively and improve their standard of living.

The town planner also voiced optimism about winning the House of Representatives seat in the upcoming general elections, stressing that the outcome would be determined by the electorate, not the ruling party. He added that he remains unfazed by the presence of the All Progressives Congress as the party in power in the state.

“I am delighted today as the journey towards fulfilling my vision of providing quality leadership to my people gathers momentum,” he said.

“I have just secured my nomination and expression of interest forms, and I am encouraged by the overwhelming support from the people of Wukari/Ibi.

“My ambition is driven by the collective call of my people for better representation at the National Assembly, especially considering my service record at the FCTA.

“I am confident of victory in 2027, and I urge my people to remain resolute, knowing they hold the power to decide the outcome of the elections.”

The report noted that Galadima hails from Ibi Local Government Area. A professional town planner, he served in the FCTA and retired as a director nine years ago.

He also stepped down from his role as Senior Special Assistant on Development Control to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to pursue his ambition of representing Wukari/Ibi in the House of Representatives.
