The Lagos State Government has announced the schedule and guidelines for the 2026 Public Service Examinations, with the exercise set to run from May 12 to May 19, 2026.

The government disclosed this in a statement posted on its official social media platforms on Thursday, noting that the examinations would be held at the Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre.

According to the statement issued by the Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education through the Lagos State Examinations Board, the schedule and guidelines followed an earlier circular released by the Head of Service.

The ministry explained that the examinations would cover the compulsory examination for all cadres in the state public service, the combined confirmation and promotion examination for Clerical Officers II and Clerical Assistants, as well as the External Secretarial Examination.

Candidates were advised to begin printing their examination slips from May 5 through the Lagos State Examinations Board portal using their registration login details.

According to the statement, each examination slip will contain important information, including the candidate’s examination date and time.

The government also directed candidates to present valid means of identification at the venue, including staff identity cards, National Identification Number slips, and Lagos State Residents Registration Agency cards.

Candidates were further instructed to come along with printed copies of their examination slips and strictly adhere to the date and time stated on them.

The ministry stated that the examinations would be conducted using the Computer-Based Test format and urged candidates to familiarise themselves with basic computer operations before the exercise.

It also warned against inappropriate dressing, stressing that improperly dressed candidates would not be allowed into the examination venue.

The Lagos State Examinations Board urged all candidates to fully comply with the guidelines to ensure a smooth and orderly examination process.
